We like to think we do everything that is needed to do to preserve nature and to help our environment. We hope you think that too. To achieve that, we would like to share some of our facts with you:

While Green Sheens buys logs and timber on the open market, one unique aspect of our operation is that we own and manage almost 80% of the source sustained forests that help make our products.

You can rest assured that your timber, either if it is in the form of great deckings, warm wood floorings, Stairs, joinery, panelling, quality cabinetry, Pergolas, external cladding, general framing or the straight rough board itself, is really helping our environment. Why? Because it is all made with the highest standards in sustainable forest management. We are a fourth generation of a traditional forestry family and are leaders in the conservation movement.

Also, we are helping fight global warming and bringing down CO2 emissions through reforestation. How? Managing stands, wether pure or mixed with conifers. Scientifically speaking, young forest stands are far more prolific carbon fixers than old established ones since they grow at a much faster pace though capturing many times more carbon dioxide. Les loose CO2 - improved breathable air quality - less planet warming.

We also care about biological diversity. One way is by making ourselves sure that all the native species, which once dominated our grandparents land, remain alive and growing. Our highly trained technical staff at our nurseries just do theiur job, taking them to "the open" when it's needed. In fact, we do plant more than triple seedlings each year than the logs we use for our products.
